Éole was a French car brand.

Company history

The company JB Clément et Cie in Paris began in 1899 with the production of automobiles , as Éole marketed. Production ended in 1901.

First there was a model with a built-in motor of Aster . The engine developed 2.25 HP or 2.75 HP depending on the source . The engine power was transferred to a three-speed gearbox via a cardan shaft and from there to the rear axle via a chain.

The next model had two engines with a total of 4.5 hp. The maximum speed was given as 56 km / h.

In 1901, a model with a single-cylinder engine from Société Buchet with 6 hp followed.
