Gobron from 1912

Automobiles Gobron was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

The company from Boulogne-Billancourt emerged from the Société Gobron-Brillié in 1903 when Eugène Brillié left the company. The company name was initially retained and only changed to Automobiles Gobron in 1919 when the company moved to Levallois-Perret . However, the brand name officially changed to Gobron as early as 1903 , even if this was disregarded in public for a long time.

vehicles

The first models had a special type of explosion engine as an opposed piston engine : in each cylinder two opposed pistons worked on two crankshafts at opposite engine ends. Nagant manufactured the model under license . The models with an opposed piston engine existed until 1922. In the 1920s, a mid-range car with a conventional four-cylinder engine with a displacement of 1500 cm³ was created , which was supplied by Chapuis-Dornier .

A vehicle of this brand was on view in the Motor Technica Museum Bad Oeynhausen in Bad Oeynhausen .
