Beryl Cunningham

Beryl Cunningham (* 1946 in Montego Bay , Jamaica ) is a Jamaican actress who has also worked as a singer .

Life

Biographical information on Beryl Cunnigham is sparse. Cunningham first appeared in Italy in the 1960s , where as a dark-skinned woman she was soon used as an exotic splash of color in genre films . She also worked as a model . Initially almost always cast as a servant or stripper, her roles became more diverse after Le salamandre , where she and Erna Schurer were almost the only actors. Directed by Piero Vivarelli , she took on the role of the queen in the episode La regina bella from his film Il Decamerone Nero, which was shot in Senegal . From 1973, her appearances were sparse; In 1979 she played alongside Barbara Bach and Joseph Cotten in the horror film La isola degli uomini pesci . She made her last film in 1983.

In 1978 she released the single Why-O / Tua ( Barclay Records ); there is also a recording of Lover Baby . In December 1968 and February 1971, pictures of Cunningham appeared in Playmen magazine .

Today Cunningham is dedicated to social work.
