H. Brulé et Cie was a French manufacturer of automobiles , trucks and buses . Brand names were Brulé and Brulé-Ponsard .

Company history

The Paris-based company began producing automobiles in 1900. The brand name was Brulé-Ponsard . There was a connection to Ponsard-Ansaloni . In 1901 the production of automobiles and own commercial vehicles ended; Steam trucks were built under license until 1905 .

vehicles

The first model was an avant train . This was a single-axle vehicle that was harnessed in front of non-motorized vehicles and pulled them. A three-cylinder engine from Rozer et Mazurier with 4.5 hp was used . A special feature of the engine was that the exhaust gases from two cylinders actuated the third cylinder at a lower pressure.

In the same year, at least one ten-seater bus with a larger version of this engine was built. The 20 hp engine was located in the rear and drove the rear wheels by means of chains . The power was transmitted via a four-speed gearbox.

Thereafter, British Thornycroft steam trucks were built under license for the French market. Brulé was one of the last exhibitors at the 1905 Paris Motor Show with such a product.
