Automobiles Tracfort was a French manufacturer of automobiles .

Company history

Louis Carle founded the company in 1933. The location was 71 rue de Normandie in Gennevilliers . The production of automobiles began. The brand name was Tracfort . The designer was Adolphe Bourbonnet, who previously worked for Derby . Production ended in 1935.

The only model was a modification of the Ford Cologne or Ford Y , but with front-wheel drive . The wheelbase was extended to 264 cm for this purpose. The four-cylinder engine from Ford with 933 cm³ displacement provided the drive . A two- to three-seater sports car Irlande and a two-door, four-seater sedan Mouette were on offer .

Notation

A catalog of the company from 1934 shows the logo as well as the company name and address. The spelling is Tracfort in both cases. Other literature also uses the notation Tracfort.

In older encyclopedias , the incorrect spelling of Tracford is often found.
