Eric Andrieu

Éric Andrieu (born April 14, 1960 in Narbonne ) is a French politician of the Parti socialiste (PS).

Andrieu passed the Abitur and the state diploma for socio-cultural animation . He worked as a study officer, officer for inter-municipal charters and consultant for municipal development in micro-enterprises. From 2006 to 2012 he was parliamentary assistant.

In 2005 Andrieu became chairman of the PS in the Aude department , and since 2009 he has been a member of the national bureau and state board. From 1990 to 2000 he was chairman of the public institution for intercommunal cooperation in the community association Communauté de communes du Massif de Mouthoumet , after which he was a member of the council of the community association. Since 1995 he has been the mayor of the municipality of Villerouge-Termenès , where he is also a member of the municipal council. He was also General Councilor in the Aude département between 1988 and 2004 and Deputy Chairman of the Regional Council of the Languedoc-Roussillon region from 2004 to 2010 . In 2012 he succeeded Kader Arif in the European Parliament .

There Eric Andrieu sits on the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development and on the delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean .
