Étoile Cay , also called Lampériaire , is a small coral island in the southwest of the Amiranten , an archipelago in the Indian Ocean . The island is one of the Outer Islands of the Seychelles . From Mahé , the main island of the Seychelles, Étoile is just under 200 kilometers away.
The almost vegetationless island has an area of 0.01 km². Like almost all of the Seychelles' Outer Islands, it is flat and only protrudes a maximum of five meters above sea level. Étoile is 29 kilometers away from Boudeuse , its neighboring island , which is also uninhabited .
