The Île du Large is a small coral island of Djibouti in the Gulf of Tadjoura . The island is about fifteen kilometers north of the capital of Djibouti, Djibouti City , and belongs to the capital district, specifically to the Sixth Arrondissement (Arrondissement du Plateau), which coincides with the commune Ras-Dika. Together with the nearby islands Musha (approx. 700 meters northwest) and Maskal (approx. 2 km west), it forms the group of Musha Islands . The island forms the easternmost branch of the archipelago. To the east is the Grand Recif .
