Ólafur "Ole" Gottskálksson (born March 12, 1968 in Keflavík ) is a former Icelandic national soccer player who has played five international matches as a soccer goalkeeper for Iceland and was also active for the national basketball team of Iceland.

Ólafur played for the Icelandic first division clubs ÍA Akranes and KR Reykjavík before moving to the Keflavík ÍF . In 1997 he was for 200,000 pounds to the Scottish club Hibernian sold. There he played 70 times before moving to England for Brentford FC in 2000 . At the club, for which he played 73 times, he had to pay the goalkeeping coach himself.

After a brief return to Iceland to UMF Grindavík , he went back to England for FC Margate in the Nationwide Conference before Torquay United signed him in September 2004 to replace Arjan van Heusden .

During a routine doping test in January 2005, he fled after looking at the list of prohibited substances. In June 2005, the Football Association then banned him indefinitely.
