Óscar Velasco Martín

Óscar Velasco Martin (born December 16, 1973 in Segovia ) is a Spanish chef whose restaurant has been awarded two Michelin stars .

Career

Óscar Velasco Martin was trained at the Angel del Alcázar hotel school in Segovia . In 1996 he started working in the kitchen of the Zalacaín restaurant (one Michelin star ). In 1997 he worked at the Martín Berasategui restaurant (three Michelin stars) in Lasarte-Oria .

From 1998 to 2001 he worked in Sant Celoni as sous- chef at Santi Santamaria in the Can Fabes restaurant (three Michelin stars).

Since 2001 he has been head chef at the Santceloni restaurant in Madrid , which was awarded one Michelin star in 2001 and two Michelin stars since 2004. The name of the restaurant refers to the town of Sant Celoni where it was previously active.
