Lists on the subject |
The sniper rifle vz. 54 ( Czech . Odstřelovací Puška vz 54 ) is a Czechoslovakian More charging - sniper rifle in the caliber of 7.62 x 54 mm R .
development
The sniper rifle was developed in Czechoslovakia from 1949 to 1951 . After initially testing the variant ZG 49 sn in caliber 7.92 × 64 mm, the decision was made in favor of caliber 7.62 × 54 mm R. The second test weapon was therefore based on the Soviet Mosin-Nagant M1891 / 30 , of which the System was adopted. Selected locking parts were optimally combined and the best barrels selected. Elements from the production of pre-war rifles were incorporated into the stock .
technology
The pistol grip stock has been redesigned, the fore-end is relatively short and leaves the front half of the barrel free. He only has a treadmill. The kinked chamber stem was specially made and not, as with the Soviet Mosin sniper rifles, just cranked. The shaft therefore has a recess for the chamber stem.
A non-adjustable Czech Meopta 2.5 × 6 rifle scope with only 2.5 times magnification serves as the main sight (the Soviet PE and PU ZF had 4 and 3.5 times magnification, respectively). The emergency sight is a sliding chimney that can be adjusted from 50 to 1200 meters in combination with a front sight .
vz. 54/91
In the 1990s, existing police vz. 54 modernized. They received a new shaft with adjustable cheek rest and a bipod. The riflescopes were replaced by the PSO-1 with four times magnification known from the SWD .
