The steam locomotive series ÖNWB IIa was an express train steam locomotive with a tender of the ÖNWB , which originally came from the SNDVB .
The twelve type 2B machines were supplied by the Maffei locomotive factory in Munich in 1857/1858 . These were the first Austrian locomotives with Hall eccentric cranks . Upon delivery they only had a protective screen, which was later replaced by a driver's cab.
They were given the numbers 1–12 and the names "AUSTRIA", "BOHEMIA", "PARDUBITZ", "KÖNIGGRÄTZ", "JOSEFSTADT", "ELBE", "KÖNIGINHOF", "LIEBENAU", "ISER", "TURNAU", "TRAUTENAU" and "REICHENBERG".
The inefficient machines were removed from the stock in 1883 (6 pieces) and 1887 (6 pieces).
