Örjan Wikander

Örjan Wikander (born July 6, 1943 in Helsingborg ) is a Swedish archaeologist and professor in the Department of Archeology and Ancient History at Lund University . His research interests include ancient water management with an emphasis on Roman water mills, Etruscan art and inscriptions, and the relationships between the Senatorial and Eques estates in the Roman Republic. He is editor of the Handbook of Ancient Water Technology (2000). In 1989 he undertook archaeological research at the Karlsmühle in Mertesdorf .
