Özdem Sanberk

Özdem Sanberk (born August 1, 1938 ) is a Turkish diplomat .

Life

Sanberk attended Galatasaray High School and graduated from Istanbul University Law School . He worked in the Turkish embassies in Madrid , Amman , Bonn and Paris as well as the Permanent Mission of Turkey to the OECD and UNESCO . Between 1985 and 1987 he was the foreign policy advisor to Prime Minister Turgut Özal . From 1987 to 1991 he was Ambassador to the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Turkey to the European Community, from 1991 to 1995 State Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and from 1995 to 2000 Ambassador to London.

He is chairman of the International Strategic Research Organization and was chairman of TESEV (Turkish Foundation for Economic and Social Studies). He is a member of the European Leadership Network and the Board of Trustees of Kadir Has University .

Sanberk is married and has one daughter.
