Özgür Yılmaz (born March 7, 1986 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish football player.

Career

Yılmaz was born in the Istanbul district of Üsküdar and started playing club football as a youth of Yeni Özkartalspor and later played for the offspring of Öz Alibeyköy SK . In 2005 he switched to the fourth division Alibeyköy SK as a professional player and only played two league games here in his first season. In the second season he won more stakes. His club won the playoffs of the TFF 3rd Lig 2006/07 and was promoted to the TFF 2nd Lig .

After a season in this league, Yılmaz moved on to league rivals Gaziosmanpaşaspor in the summer of 2008 . Here he came in his first season to only nine league appearances and rose with his club at the end of the season in the TFF 3rd Lig . In this league he quickly established himself as a regular player. In his second fourth division season at Gaziosmanpaşaspor, the club won the championship of the TFF 3rd Lig and rose to the TFF 2nd Lig.

After five years at Gaziosmanpaşaspor, Yılmaz was hired by league rivals Giresunspor . Here he won a regular place straight away and completed 33 league games by the end of the season. With Giresunspor he finished the 2013/14 season as champion of the TFF 2nd Lig and rose to the TFF 1st Lig .
