Øyvind Rimbereid
Øyvind Rimbereid (born May 2, 1966 in Stavanger ) is a Norwegian writer who has emerged primarily with poetry, but also with essays , a novel and short stories . The best known is his science fiction -Gedichtband Solaris korrigert .
Life
Rimbereid studied Scandinavian Studies and Literature at the University of Bergen , where he graduated with a Scandinavian- specific degree as Candidatus philologiae . He later worked as a professor for creative writing at the Skrivekunstakademiet in Hordaland . Little is known about his private biography as he is very media-shy. Not even the Norske Leksikon store contains details, but is limited to viewing the work.
Rimbereid made his literary debut in 1993 with the short story volume Det har begynt . He published a new book about every two to three years, mostly with Gyldendal- Verlag, and won numerous Norwegian literary prizes, including prestigious awards such as the Aschehougprisen , Doblougprisen and Brageprisen, as well as twice the critics' prizes from the Norwegian Association of Literary Critics .
Many of his poems use the special sounding "Stavanger dialect". In the long poems, Rimbereid speaks about ecological issues, landscape, travel, ways of existence and the historical perspective. Solaris corrects inspired the Norwegian State Opera Den Norske Opera to bring an opera version to the big stage in 2013, Det Norske Teater brought a drama version of it in 2015.
