Úsvit - Národní Koalice (German "Dawn - National Coalition"), in the statutes Úsvit přímé demokracie Tomia Okamury ("Dawn of the direct democracy of Tomio Okamura") called, short name Úsvit , was a populist or right-wing populist political party in the Czech Republic.

Úsvit was founded in May 2013 by the tourism entrepreneur and Senator Tomio Okamura . In the meantime it has adopted the name Úsvit - Národní Koalice (Dawn - National Coalition).

During the election campaign, the party stood out primarily with statements directed against the EU and the Roma minority . Among other things, the party leader Okamura called on the Roma to leave the Czech Republic and to found their own state in India.

In the October 2013 election , she won 6.9% of the vote and 14 of the 200 seats in the House of Representatives. Members of the Věci veřejné (VV, "public affairs") party, which had previously been represented in parliament and the government and no longer ran for election , ran for election on their list .

The party also ran a skeptical campaign against the EU in the 2014 European elections . With only 3.12% of the vote, however, the party failed to make it into the European Parliament.

In the course of 2015 there were considerable internal party disputes about the party's course, including a possible collaboration with other right-wing populists such as Marine Le Pen . Among other things, the previous leader of the parliamentary group, Radim Fiala , was recalled and replaced by Marek Černoch . Several “moderate” MPs, including the party founder and previous chairman Tomio Okamura , then left the party and parliamentary group, which now only consists of 4 MPs. Miroslav Lidinský was elected as the new party leader on August 8, 2015 . Okamura shortly afterwards founded a new party called Svoboda a přímá demokracie - SPD (Freedom and Direct Democracy - SPD). The party also changed its name to Úsvit - Národní Koalice (Dawn - National Coalition).

Shortly afterwards, on August 8, 2015, the Úsvit přímé demokracie formed a strategic alliance with the Blok proti islámu . However, the cooperation also failed shortly afterwards due to internal disputes. With the 2017 general election, the party lost its seats in parliament. The party was dissolved in March 2018.
