Þórður Guðjónsson

Þórður Guðjónsson (German transcription Thórdur Gudjónsson , born October 14, 1973 in Akranes ), also known as Toddi Gudjonsson or Thoddi Gudjonsson , is an Icelandic football player .

Club career

Þórður started his career at ÍA Akranes in Iceland and moved to VfL Bochum in 1993 . In 1997 he moved to KRC Genk and in 2000 to UD Las Palmas . There he was rarely used and was therefore awarded to Derby County and Preston North End in England. Þórður Guðjónsson ran from 2002 to 2004 again for VfL Bochum as a player; in January 2005 he went to Stoke City . From 2006 to 2008 he played again for his hometown club ÍA Akranes before ending his career there.

International career

His debut for the Icelandic national team was in September 1993 in the World Cup qualifier against Luxembourg . He made 58 caps for Iceland, scoring 13 goals.
