The ČD 835.001 was a two-part diesel multiple unit produced by the Czech railway company České dráhy (ČD) for regional transport. It corresponded to the type RA-1 of the Russian manufacturer Metrowagonmasch .

history

In 2003, Metrowagonmasch in Mytishchi delivered an RA1 vehicle to ČD for test purposes, which was intended to replace Russian arrears. However, the ČD did not decide on series procurement, as they decided to reconstruct their 810 series to become the 814 series . The test vehicle was taken out of service in 2007 and then handed over to the Hungarian Magyar Államvasutak (MÁV), where identical railcars are in use as MÁV class 6341 . The vehicle serves as a spare parts dispenser there.
