The MÀV series 6341 are two-part diesel multiple units from the Hungarian railway company Magyar Államvasutak (MÁV) for regional traffic. The railcar corresponds to the type RA1 of the Russian manufacturer Metrowagonmasch .
history
From 2002 to 2004 Metrowagonmasch delivered 40 railcars to MÁV. They are used on various non-electrified routes in regional traffic. The vehicles had to cede part of the operational areas to the more modern railcars of the 6342 series .
In 2007, the identical railcar 835.001 from České dráhy (ČD) was taken over because it was not used there. However, it was not used by MÁV and now serves as a spare parts dispenser.
technical features
construction
A unit of the 6341 series consists of two identical cars. There is a driver's cab at one end of each car . Both train parts are firmly coupled to each other in the middle and have a Scharfenberg coupling at the ends , which enables several railcars of the same design to be coupled together .
The car body made of steel profiles is mounted on two bogies . The side walls are beaded below the window . This part is painted gray, the part of the side wall above it and the doors are painted red. This corresponds to the color scheme of the Hungarian railways.
drive
Each railcar has two type 6R183 TD13H diesel engines from MTU with an output of 315 kW. The power is transmitted to the axles of the front bogies via a fluid transmission. The maximum speed is 100 km / h.
Passenger compartment
The passenger compartment of the railcar can be entered via four pneumatically operated doors. This has 104 seats, which consist of plastic frames with a padded fabric cover. Most of these are arranged face to face. There are only 2nd class seats. There is also a handicapped accessible vacuum toilet . Additional steps are attached to the doors, which are extended at stations with low platforms and make boarding easier. The railcars are equipped with air conditioning .
