Erika Tymrak (born August 7, 1991 in Detroit , Michigan ) is an American soccer player who has been under contract with the US first division newcomer Utah Royals FC since 2018 .

Career

society

As a student, Tymrak attended the Edison Academic Center in Bradenton from 2005 to 2009 and played for its women's soccer team, the Eagles . During this time she also played for the renowned IMG Soccer Academy in the same location, which took part in the W-League in the 2008 season with a team called Bradenton Athletics . As a student at the University of Florida in Gainesville , Tymrak played from the age of 18 to 21 for their women's soccer team, the Gators , with whom she won the league title in the Southeastern Conference in 2009 .

In January 2013. Tymrak was in college - Draft for newly founded NWSL in the second round in eleventh position from FC Kansas City committed. She made her league debut on April 13, 2013 (1st matchday) in a 1-1 home draw against Portland Thorns FC when Tymrak came on in the 81st minute for Kristie Mewis . Through a loan deal, she and her club colleague Bianca Henninger came to the German Bundesliga club FC Bayern Munich for the 2013/14 season . In the 1-1 draw on September 7, 2013 (1st matchday) in the away game against VfL Wolfsburg , she made her Bundesliga debut when she came on for Laura Feiersinger in the 70th minute. She scored her first competitive goals on September 29, 2013 in the 2nd round of the DFB Cup in a 7-0 win at TSV Crailsheim with the 2-0 goals in the 12th and 4-0 in the 30th minute.

When the loan period expired at the end of 2013, Tymrak's season at Bayern ended. She returned to the United States with Bianca Henninger. With FC Kansas City, she won the final of the US Championship on August 31, 2014 with 2-1 against Seattle Reign FC . With the start of the 2018 season, it belongs to Utah Royals FC , to which the franchise rights of FC Kansas City , which was dissolved in November 2017 , were transferred.

National team

Tymrak played for the United States U-17 and U-23 national teams. She was part of the squad of the U-17 national team that took part in the "Future Stars Tournament" from January 29 to February 2, 2008 in New Zealand . She made her debut on January 31, 2008 in a 5-0 win over the New Zealand selection; it was not used against the selection of Australia and Germany.

Tymrak also played four international matches in qualifying for the U-17 World Cup: 6-0 win against Costa Rica on the 18th, 9-1 win over Trinidad & Tobago on 22nd, 1-0 win against Mexico on the 24th and 4-1 victory against Costa Rica (1 goal) on July 27, 2008.

At the U-17 World Cup held in New Zealand from October 28 to November 16, 2008 , she played the first group game as well as the quarter-finals and semi-finals in which she was substituted on. On June 17, 2011, she made her debut in the U-23 national team, which lost 3-2 to Norway, and in March 2014 she made three further appearances in the U. as part of the six-nation tournament in La Manga -23.

Tymrak made her senior national team debut on September 3, 2013 in Washington in a 7-0 win in the test international against Mexico . She scored her first international goal on November 10, 2013 to make it 4-1 against Brazil .
