The ČSD class E 469.2 (from 1988: class 122 ) is an electric freight locomotive of the former Czechoslovak State Railways (ČSD) for the 3 kV direct current system in the north and east of the former Czechoslovakia . They represent a further development of the tried and tested predecessor series E 469.1 .

The main difference to the E 469.1 series is the locomotive body . A foreign order resulted in a revision of the box. The locomotive body now had the same driver's cab as the six-axle locomotives and was accessible from both sides. In addition, the mass and power of the locomotive were slightly less than that of the E 469.1 . A significant innovation was the equipment with a multiple control, which was used for the first time in the field of the ČSD for direct current locomotives.
The operational use of the locomotives of the E 469.2 series was similar to that of the E 469.1 , namely the transport of freight trains, timber trains and coal trains from the relation around Most. Sometimes they also carried passenger trains, but this was limited due to the low speed.
The locomotives came to ČD after 1993 and are only used from Ústí nad Labem . Although the majority of the machines have already been taken out of service, you can occasionally see a few trains with this row.
