Čegrane ( Albanian Çegrani ; Macedonian Чегране ) is a village in western North Macedonia . It is near Gostivar . It was the seat of the Opština Čegrane which existed until 2004. As a result of the new Territorial Administration Act of August 11, 2004, the Opština Čegrane and the Opština Gostivar were united.
geography
The longest river in Macedonia, the Vardar, flows through the village . It rises above Gostivars.
In 1999, during the Kosovo war, 50,000 refugees from Kosovo were housed in Čegrane .
