Ľubomír Chmelo (born January 13, 1986 in Czechoslovakia ) is a Slovak ice hockey player who has been under contract with the Miskolci Jegesmedvék JSE in the MOL league since 2011 .

Career

Ľubomír Chmelo began his career as an ice hockey player in the youth of HC Košice , for whose professional team he made his debut in the 2001/02 season in the extra league , although this was his only appearance in the senior division until he was 17 in the 2004/05 season Playing four templates for the second division club HK Trebišov gave. In the following season, the defender ran parallel for Košice in the Extraliga and the HKm Humenne in the second-class 1st division. After he started the 2006/07 season at Humenne, he finished this at TH Unia Oświęcim in the Polish Ekstraliga . For the 2007/08 season Chmelo returned to HK Trebišov in the Slovak second division, before he was committed in the summer of 2008 by his former club HC Košice, with which the left shooter was Slovak champion for the first time in the 2008/09 season . In the following season Chmelo again won the Slovak championship before moving to the second division HC 46 Bardejov .

For the 2011/12 season Chmelo was committed by Miskolci Jegesmedvék JSE from the multinational MOL league .

International

For Slovakia , Chmelo took part in the U18 World Junior Championship in 2004 , where he finished fourth with his team.
