Łucja Frey-Gottesman (born November 3, 1889 in Lemberg , Austria-Hungary , † probably on August 24, 1942 in Lwów , Poland ) was an Austrian-Polish philosopher and doctor . According to her this is Frey's syndrome named.

Frey studied philosophy in Lemberg between 1908 and 1913 , graduating as a secondary school teacher .

She completed a pre-clinical medical degree in Lemberg in 1917–1920. This was followed by clinical medical studies with exams in Warsaw from 1921 to 1923 . She trained as a neurologist in Warsaw (1923–1928) and worked from 1929 to 1941 as a neurologist at the Israelite Hospital in Lemberg.

Until 1942 she worked in the ghetto policlinic in Lemberg. Presumably on August 24, 1942, the Jewish Frey was murdered in the Lviv ghetto .
