Štrpce ( Serbian - Cyrillic Штрпце , Albanian  Shtërpca or Shtërpcë ) is a small town in the commune of the same name on the northern slope of the Šar Planina Mountains in southern Kosovo . About three kilometers southwest of Štrpce is the place Brezovica , which was an important winter sports center in the former Yugoslavia .

According to the last census in 2011, the town of Štrpce had a total of 1265 inhabitants. Of these, 1211 (95.73%) were Serbs ; 25 (1.98%) Roma or Ashkali , 17 (1.34%) Albanians and 2 Bosniaks . 3 people belonged to other ethnic groups.
