Živilė Šarakauskienė (born Živilė Čiukšytė , born November 6, 1978 in Panevėžys ) is a Lithuanian chess player .

Life

Šarakauskienė has been International Women's Champion (WIM) since 2005, she met the required standards at the European Women's Championships in Varna in 2002 and in Chișinău in 2005, and in August 2002 at a tournament in Birštonas . In December 2012 she switched from the Lithuanian to the English chess federation.

In 1998, 2002, 2009 and 2011 she won the Lithuanian Women's Individual Championship. She is married to the International Master (IM) Gediminas Šarakauskas and the younger sister of the chess player Dagnė Čiukšytė .

National team

Živilė Šarakauskienė took part in the Chess Olympiad in 1998 , 2002 , 2008 and 2010 for the Lithuanian women's national team. She competed for England at the 2015 European Women's Team Championship.

societies

Šarakauskienė participated with Širvinta Vilkaviškis in the European Club Cups for women in 1998, 1999 and 2000. In the British Four Nations Chess League , she has played for the second team of Guildford A&DC since 2011 .
