Gediminas Sarakauskas
Gediminas Šarakauskas (born October 25, 1977 ) is a Lithuanian chess player and international champion since January 2001 . His Elo rating is 2416 (as of May 2016); He had his highest Elo rating to date with 2453 in January 2006.
With the NSEL30 Vilnius club , he took part in the European Club Cups 2006 (on the fourth) and 2007 (on the third board). For the Lithuanian national team, Šarakauskas played at the 2008 Chess Olympiad on the reserve board and at the 2009 European Team Championship on the fourth board. In the British Four Nations Chess League , Šarakauskas has been playing for the first and second team of Guildford A&DC since 2011 ; with the first team he was British team champion in 2013 , 2014 and 2016 .
Gediminas Šarakauskas is married to the chess player Živilė Šarakauskienė .
