The competitions were scheduled for November 3rd and 4th 2012, January 12th and 13th 2013, February 23rd and 24th 2013, March 23rd and 24th 2013 and from May 4th to 6th 2013. All rounds were centered, the first two in Ascot , the third through sixth in Daventry and the last five in Hinckley .

Pool A
Three qualifying places for the Championship Pool were before the last round of the first teams in the Wood Green Hilsmark Kingfisher and the Barbican Chess Club and to the Cheddleton and Leek Chess Club awarded the last spot in the Championship Pool secured the Cambridge University Chess Club by a final round win over direct rivals e2e4.org.uk . In addition to e2e4.org.uk, the second team from Guildford A&DC and the two previous year's climbers Sambuca Sharks and BCM Dragons had to play in the demotion pool . The best starting position for the championship pool was achieved by Wood Green Hilsmark Kingfisher with 5: 1 points, while Barbican took 4: 2 points into the finals, Cheddleton 3: 3 points and Cambridge 0: 6 points. In the demotion pool, e2e4.org.uk and the Sambuca Sharks each took 4: 2 points, Guildford's second team 3: 3 points and the BCM Dragons 1: 5 points.
In the second group, three teams with the first team from Guildford A&DC , White Rose Chess and Jutes of Kent had already qualified for the championship pool before the last round , the second team from the Barbican Chess Club secured the last starting place by beating the pursuers, the second team of the Wood Green Hilsmark Kingfisher . In addition to Wood Green's second team, Blackthorne Russia and the South Wales Dragons and Warwickshire Selects , who had risen from Division 2, had to make do with participating in the Demotion Pool. The best starting position for the championship pool went to Guildford, who started with 6: 0 points in the final round, while the other teams each took 2: 4 points in the final round. In the Demotion Pool, the South Wales Dragons took 5: 1 points, Wood Greens second team 4: 2 points, the Warwickshire Selects 3: 3 points and Blackthorne Russia 0: 6 points.
From the preliminary round, Guildford A&DC (6: 0 points) and defending champion Wood Green Hilsmark Kingfisher (5: 1 points) had the best starting positions. Both won the first three rounds, so the direct comparison in the final round had to decide on the awarding of the title. With a 4: 4 Guildford maintained the top of the table.
