Four Nations Chess League 2004/05

The 2004/05 season was the twelfth season of the Four Nations Chess League (4NCL).

The defending champion Guildford A&DC and Wood Green both won the first ten rounds, so the decision was only made in a direct comparison in the last round. After the 4: 4 the title went to Wood Green due to the better points on the board.

From Division 2 Bristol, Wessex and the second team from Guildford A&DC had risen. As the only newly promoted Guildfords second team reached relegation, while Bristol and Wessex relegated together with Richmond. One club had renamed itself; Micro Mark NWE reverted to its old name, North West Eagles . For the reported team squads, see the Four Nations Chess League team squad 2004/05 .

Dates and venue

The competitions took place on September 18 and 19, November 20 and 21, 2004, January 22 and 23, April 9, 10 and 30, and on May 1 and 2, 2005. The fifth and sixth Round were held in Nottingham , the rest of them in West Bromwich .
