Four Nations Chess League 1995/96

The 1995/96 season was the third season of the Four Nations Chess League (4NCL). Of the 12 participants of the previous season were Invicta Knights Maidstone , the Barbican Chess Club not represented and Covent Garden, for the first time Guildford, Richmond, Hertford, Croydon and Newcastle went to the start, took part so that 14 teams that a simple round-robin tournament played .

The defending champions Midland Monarchs and Slough were able to distance the rest of the field significantly, one point gap decided the title race in Slough's favor. A relegation was not planned this season. For the reported team squads, see the Four Nations Chess League team squad 1995/96 .

Dates and venues

The competitions took place on November 25th and 26th, 1995, January 20th and 21st, February 17th and 18th, March 16th and 17th, April 27th and 28th and May 25th, 26th and 27th 1996. The first two rounds were held in Cheltenham , third and fourth in Abergavenny , fifth and sixth in Birmingham , seventh and eighth in Hertford , ninth and tenth in Newcastle and the last three in Warwick .
