Four Nations Chess League 1993/94

The 1993/94 season was the first season of the Four Nations Chess League (4NCL). With the Invicta Knights Maidstone , Barbican Chess Club , Covent Garden, Slough , the North West Eagles and Bristol, six teams competed in a double round robin tournament . The first winners of the 4NCL were the Invicta Knights Maidstone, who were one point ahead of their fellow competitors Barbican Chess Club. A relegation was not planned this season.

Dates and venues

The competitions were held on October 2 and 3, 27 and 28 November 1993 22 and 23 January, 19 and 20 March, 7 and 8 May 1994. The first two rounds were in London aligned , third and fourth in Bolton , fifth and sixth in Cheltenham , seventh and eighth in Liverpool, and the last two in Maidstone .
