Four Nations Chess League 1994/95

The 1994/95 season was the second season of the Four Nations Chess League (4NCL). The six founding members were again at the start, for the first time the Midland Monarchs , Wood Green, Witney, British Chess Magazine , the South Wales Dragons and Na Fianna took part , so that a simple round-robin tournament was played with 12 teams .

The first three Midland Monarchs , Slough and Wood Green achieved one victory and one defeat in a direct comparison, in favor of the Midland Monarchs decided the fact that they only drew against the rest of the field, while Slough received another three minus points, Wood Green even four. The defending champion Invicta Knights Maidstone had to be content with eighth place. A relegation was not planned this season.

Dates and venues

The competitions took place on October 1 and 2, November 26 and 27, 1994, January 21 and 22, February 18 and 19, March 18 and 19 and May 20, 1995. The first two rounds were hosted in Liverpool , third and fourth in Cheltenham , fifth and sixth in Bridgend , seventh and eighth in Slough , ninth and tenth in Birmingham, and eleventh in Bolton .
