Four Nations Chess League 2007/08
The 2007/08 season was the 15th season of the Four Nations Chess League (4NCL).
The two teams from Guildford A&DC and the Barbican Chess Club fought a three-way battle for the title. In the end, Guildford's first team was able to defend its previous year's title in front of their own second team and Barbican.
From Division 2, Richmond, the Cambridge University Chess Club and the second team of the Barbican Chess Club were promoted , which finished 8th to 10th. Since the class was increased to 16 teams for the coming season, no relegation was planned. The Slough Sharks gave up seven games during the season without a fight, so three team points were deducted from them at the end of the season. Dates and venues
The competitions took place on September 15th and 16th, November 10th and 11th 2007, January 12th and 13th, March 1st and 2nd and May 3rd, 4th and 5th, 2008. The first two and the the last three rounds were held in Sunningdale , third and fourth in Birmingham , the remainder in Wokefield .
