Four Nations Chess League 1998/99

The 1998/99 season was the sixth season of the Four Nations Chess League (4NCL).

Slough and Wood Green were head-to-head for the title, and Slough was one point ahead of the head-to-head victory. The defending champion, who renamed himself from Midland Monarchs to Bigwood, had to be content with third place. Home House , the second team of the Barbican Chess Club and Wessex were promoted from Division 2, all three of which were relegated directly.

Dates and venues

The competitions took place on October 24 and 25, November 21 and 22, 1998, January 23 and 24, March 20 and 21, and May 1, 2 and 3, 1999. The first two rounds were played in Warwick , all following in Birmingham .
