Chris Ward (chess player)

Christopher Geoffrey Ward (born March 26, 1968 ) is an English chess player .

He won the British Championship in Nottingham in 1996.

He played club chess in the German Chess League in 1996/97 for PSV / BSV Wuppertal . He won the Four Nations Chess League in 2002/03 , 2004/05 and 2005/06 with Wood Green and 2010/11 with Pride and Prejudice . In the 1990s he played Maidstone for Invicta Knights in England . In France, he played for the Club de Vandœuvre-Echecs in the 2001/02 and 2002/03 seasons .

In 1990 he was awarded the title of International Master (IM) and in 1996 the title of Grand Master (GM).
