Stephen John Gordon (born September 4, 1986 in Oldham ) is an English chess master .

Life

Gordon took top places in several tournaments: 2nd – 3rd. Place at the 94th British Championship in Great Yarmouth (2007) and 3rd – 6th. Place at the 95th championship of Great Britain in Liverpool (2008). In 2006 he received the title of International Master , he fulfilled the required standards in the seasons 2003/04 and 2004/05 of the Four Nations Chess League (4NCL) and at the Sants Open , which was held in Barcelona in August and September 2005 . He has held the title of grandmaster since 2009 . He achieved the required standards in September 2006 at the European Union Championship in Liverpool and in the 2006/07 and 2008/09 seasons of the 4NCL.

Team chess

With the English national team Stephen Gordon took part in the European Team Championship 2009 in Novi Sad . In the 4NCL, Gordon played from 2003 to 2007 and in the 2013/14 and 2015/16 seasons for 3Cs Oldham , in the 2007/08 season for the Hilsmark Kingfisher and after their merger with Wood Green from 2008 to 2013 for Wood Green Hilsmark Kingfisher with which he became champions in 2009, 2010 and 2012 . In the German Federal Chess League he has been playing for SG Trier since 2009 , and in the French Top 12 he played for Évry Grand Roque in the 2013/14 season .
