Ștefan Filotti (born September 19, 1922 in Brăila , Brăila County , † September 28, 1969 in Cernavodă , Constanța County ) was a Romanian football player . He denied 167 games in the highest Romanian football league, the Divizia A .

Career

Filotti began his career in 1940 in his hometown of Braila in Franco Româna Braila in Divizia B . In 1942 he moved to Rapid Bucharest , one of the most successful Romanian clubs of the time. After the game operations of Divizia A had been interrupted due to the outbreak of World War II, Filotti did not come to his first appearance in the highest Romanian football league until August 25, 1946. At Rapid he developed into a goal-scoring regular player in the 1940s and was able to reach the runner-up in 1949 and 1950 . This successful period of the club had already come to an end. The club was relegated twice in the following years, but managed to get promoted again each time. Filotti could no longer build on previous achievements and ended his active career in 1958.
