't Horntje is a fishing village on the Dutch island of Texel ( North Holland province ). 't Horntje is a small village with only about 50 inhabitants, but is very important for the daily ferry service from Den Helder to the main ferry port on Texel, which is located in' t Horntje. The ships of the Teso company have been docking here since 1962 . In earlier times there was a small lighthouse in the village , but it was dismantled and rebuilt in the parking lot of the Schipbreuk- en Juttersmuseum between Den Burg and De Koog.

The Dutch Institute for Marine Research (NIOZ) is based at the ferry port in 't Horntje.
