1st Royal Bavarian Jäger Brigade
The 1st Royal Bavarian Jägerbrigade was a large unit of the Bavarian Army during the First World War . It was set up on May 23, 1915 in response to Italy's entry into the war , in particular to carry out operations in the Alpine region .
The brigade , together with the 2nd Jäger Brigade ( Prussian and Württemberg Army ) and various combat support units, formed the German Alpine Corps .
The following regiments were subordinate to the association:
- Infantry Body Regiment (taken over from the I. Army Corps )
- 1st Jägerregiment (the battalions were taken over by the II and III Army Corps )
