The Wilhelmshavener Zeitung (WZ) is an independent daily newspaper founded in 1874 , which appears every day except Sundays in Wilhelmshaven . It is published by Brune-Mettcker Druck- und Verlagsgesellschaft mbH in Wilhelmshaven in the Berlin format . The newspaper is the only daily newspaper in Wilhelmshaven. Its distribution area is the city of Wilhelmshaven and the neighboring district of Friesland . The sold circulation is 16,057 copies, a decrease of 43.2 percent since 1998. The Wilhelmshavener Zeitung forms the Wilhelmshaven newspaper group with the neighboring newspapers Jeversches Wochenblatt and Anzeiger für Harlingerland .
