The 1st class Danzig-West Prussia 1940/41 was the first season of the second-class 1st class Danzig-West Prussia in the Danzig-West Prussia football district . Due to the illegal conquest of territory during the attack on Poland , the association decided to separate clubs from Gdansk and the newly acquired area of ​​the Marienwerder administrative district from the East Prussia district and to create their own sports district for these clubs. Over a transition round in 1940, the participants were sorted into the various game classes.

This year's 1st class was played in three districts. The post-SG Danzig and the SC Wacker Schidlitz rise from the district to 1 in the Gauliga. Elbinger SV reached the Gauliga from District 2 .

Bromberg district

Only one game has survived from the district of Bromberg, the Post-SG Bromberg , the Bromberger SG and the SG Nakel took part in the game.

Schwetz district

Only the participants SC Graudenz , TuSV Schwetz , TuSV Neuenburg and VfL Kulm have been handed down from the Schwetz district .
