- 113 : The Trajan Column is erected in Rome . The reliefs show the emperor's campaigns against the Dacians .
- 114 : Beginning of the campaign of the Roman Emperor Trajan against the Parthian Empire . Conquest of Armenia and Mesopotamia as well as today's Kurdistan . Largest expansion of the Roman Empire.
- 115 to 117 : Diaspora uprising in Mesopotamia, Egypt, Libya and Cyprus.
Infrastructure
- The Roman Empire has around 75,000 kilometers of paved roads. The governability of the empire depends on it as does the extensive trade of Rome. Large armies must be able to move quickly over great distances. The Roman legions , many slaves and subjugated peoples are used to build roads . The road routes follow the straightest line as far as possible. For this purpose, rocks and hills are removed, tunnels are built, dams are piled up or swamps are drained.
