2. Battle of Hefei

The 2nd Battle of Hefei probably took place around 217, during the Three Kingdoms ' era in China.

The general Sun Quan started an invasion of Hefei Castle after he had already won the battle of Chibi against the Wei king Cao Cao . The fortifications were guarded by Wei generals Yue Jin , Li Dian and Zhang Liao , whom Cao Cao had assigned. Cao Cao's troops were far inferior to Sun Quan's troops, however, in the Chronicles of the Three Kingdoms there are mention of 30,000 Wei warriors and 100,000 Wu warriors.

However, Sun Quan and his two officers Ling Tong and Gan Ning were repulsed by Zhang Liao's trick . However, Gan Ning saved Ling Tong from Zhang Liao.

Zhang Liao received the title of Conquered the East for his services , and Yue Jin the title of Right General .
