5th Army (Wehrmacht)
The 5th Army / Army High Command 5 (AOK 5) was a major unit of the Army of the Wehrmacht during the Second World War . She was the high command of changing army corps and numerous special troops.
Lineup
The 5th Army was set up on August 25, 1939 under Infantry General Curt Liebmann . It acted defensively on the Siegfried Line and on the Western Front before the army staff was transferred to Poland in mid-October . The 18th Army later emerged from him .
