The Army of Norway ( Army High Command Norway ) was a major unit of the army of the Wehrmacht during the Second World War . She was the high command of changing army corps and numerous special troops.

history

The German Army Norway was formed from Army Group XXI on December 19, 1940 after the Weser Exercise operation . On June 4, 1941, a partial staff formed the command staff Finland. In 1941, the Norwegian Army High Command was responsible for planning the Silberfuchs company . The leadership of the troops on the Lapland front was later transferred to the AOK Lapland . After the army withdrew to Central and Southern Norway in November 1944, the Norwegian Army was disbanded on December 18, 1944. Lothar Rendulic , whose troops had previously had to withdraw from Finland, became Wehrmacht commander in Norway .
