8. Fuse Division
The 8th Security Division was a major unit of the German Navy during World War II .
history
The division was set up on April 20, 1944 for security tasks in the area of the Danish coast from Skagerrak to Kattegat . By setting up the division, the security of the Danish coastal apron was handed over to the commanding Admiral Skagerrak . In terms of troops, the division was subordinate to the BSO .
The headquarters were in the following Danish locations: Copenhagen and, from June 1944, in Aarhus on Jutland .
