The company was founded on October 3rd, 1996 in Wiesbaden.

As part of an internationalization strategy, ABS Global Factoring AG has founded or taken over subsidiaries at other locations in Europe: 2011 ABS Factoring AG (formerly KMU Factoring AG ) in Pfäffikon , Switzerland, 2013 ABS Global Factoring AB in Stockholm , Sweden, 2016 ABS Factoring AG (formerly VB Factoring Bank AG ), based in Salzburg and with a branch in Vienna , Austria, as well as a former subsidiary of Österreichische Volksbanken-Aktiengesellschaft and Eurincasso GmbH in Salzburg, Austria. ABS Factoring doo (formerly Afaktor doo ) in Ljubljana , Slovenia followed in 2016 .

In 2018, the company also founded Eurincasso GmbH, based in Prien am Chiemsee, and entered the healthcare financing market by taking over 75.1% of the shares in Deutsche Gesellschaft für Privatärztliche Abrechnung GmbH .

Since 2018, ABS Global Factoring AG has also been operating quickpaid , an online portal for purchase financing for small and medium-sized companies, self-employed and freelancers, craft businesses as well as doctors and pharmacies.

The business field of ABS Global Factoring AG is full service factoring in the segment of small and medium-sized companies with annual sales of up to 100 million euros. The main focus is on start-ups, turnaround companies, export-oriented and rapidly growing companies.

ABS Global Factoring AG received a license from the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin) in 2009 and is a member of the German Factoring Association and the World of Open Account (WOA).
