Emergence
a.Ura und das Schnecken.Haus is the 14th release and the fifth studio album by the band Samsas Traum. The first edition was published in 2004 as a double CD in DIN A5 format, limited to 2,999 copies . Today the album is only available in a smaller, less complex digipack edition.
The CDs include a total of 23 songs, the limited CD also contains two bonus tracks and a video clip of the piece Endstation.Eden , recorded at the M'era Luna Festival 2004.
Ingo Römling aka monozelle is responsible for the elaborate artwork . Alexander Kaschte's promo pictures were taken by angst im wald .
About the music
The music contains, among other things, symphonic elements. However, everything is available from melodic, quiet acoustic guitars to piano pieces to metal .
What is remarkable about the album is that, like Tineoidea and Die Liebe Gottes , it tells a continuous story. This time, however, it is seldom performed in dialogues, but in bound form and almost exclusively by the singer Alexander Kaschte.

a.Ura und das Schnecken.Haus tells a love story. Basically, each of the 23 titles can be viewed as a stand-alone short story, but a closer analysis of the text reveals an ongoing plot.
The starting point is that a boy who is in love with a girl moves to another country. He wants to find the way to love her. To do this, they must first of all bring their present, their past and their future to a common denominator. The second piece, Der Riesenraddieb , describes how the Riesenraddieb (a metaphor for the unfortunate circumstances) steals their “happiness” from both of them.
In the following, the characters are presented in their childhood (see The Girl from Inside the Chains, Carousels and The Boy Lives in the Well ). From this point in time, the most important phases in the life of the protagonist (who is played by Alexander Kaschte) are dealt with. This plot begins with the play Flea circus , in which a clairvoyant prepares the listener for what will happen to the protagonist. The most noteworthy parts of this plot are The mirror does not see me , the forest of forgotten dolls , a cat knows the way , a name in the crystal , K.haos-prince and wind, princess and animals die up there . Among other things, it describes how the protagonist recognizes himself behind his inner hatred, how he comes across traces of his past and childhood and how he becomes a vegan. These titles all refer to Alexander Kashte's life. A guiding principle throughout the piece is: "What have we done to ourselves?"
In the next section of the storyline, Teeth in Hand , he rises above the enemy who was not around him the whole time, but deep inside him. He defeats that part of his character.
The final is A. locked out . In this part, the two of them do another treatise on the whole thing together, after all they have found each other and lock themselves out of the snail shell.
The last piece is a kind of end credits, which especially musically gives the whole piece a happy ending, so the mood in the penultimate one was rather gloomy and thoughtful. The wording that forms a moral or a final sentence is: "Love is more than just a word."
