The Saar-Pfalz-Mobil GmbH , formerly A. Philippi GmbH , based in Bexbach was founded in 1927 as a bus company by Alois Philippi. In addition to the regular service , tourist bus services were also operated.

history

The A. Philippi bus company was founded in Quiigart in 1927 and has relied on both regular and tourist trips from the start. During the Second World War , traffic came to a standstill due to the war. After 1945, the company first established itself through trips to the pits and gradually began to re-establish regular services. The first connection led from Göttelborn to Saarbrücken . After the Saarland was connected to the Federal Republic of Germany, this line continued to be operated by the Deutsche Bundesbahn and served by Philippi buses.

Until the end of the 1990s, it was still operating as bus tourism a. philippi GmbH acting as a branch of business in addition to regular services and travel. Until the mid-1990s, A. Philippi owned its own line concessions for the Göttelborn - Qui Various - Sulzbach / Saar and Altenwald - Sulzbach / Saar connections. With the takeover of busouristik A. Philippi in the mid-1990s by Regionalbus-Saar-Westpfalz GmbH (RSW), Saarbrücken, the company's own lines were transferred to what was then RSW and the travel business was gradually reduced by the end of the 20th century. In the course of this, all coaches were also sold and later the focus was on regular and school bus services.

Since January 22, 2013 the company has been trading as Saar-Pfalz-Mobil GmbH and has relocated its headquarters to Bexbach.

Most recently, the company, a 100 percent subsidiary of the then Saar-Pfalz-Bus GmbH (to DB Regio ), drove urban transport in Homburg ("BUSSI") and until the end of 2015 St. Ingbert ("INGO") without its own vehicles the parent company. In addition, on behalf of Saar-Pfalz-Bus GmbH, further scheduled trips were made with buses, some of which were owned, some of which were rented from the parent company, in the Saar-Palatinate district , in the Saarbrücken regional association and until December 31, 2015 in the Merzig-Wadern district and Verbandsgemeinden Landstuhl (Rhineland-Palatinate) and Ramstein-Miesenbach (Rhineland-Palatinate).

On August 3, 2016, the company was merged into Rheinpfalzbus GmbH , now DB Regio Bus Mitte GmbH .
